Over at his blog Information is Beautiful David McCandless has hooked up with the Guardian to give away a $5000 prize for the best infographic designs.
They point out that designing an infographic is as much about ideas as it is about using fancy software.
To illustrate this they include some of McCandless' own "back of an envelope" design ideas that ended up in his book HERE.
