One of the loveliest locations on the Wirral peninsula is Red Rocks in Hoylake. This is literally at the western corner of the Wirrral where the Dee estuary meets the Irish Sea. On a sunny day at high tide it is fantastic. At any time of the year the views out to Hilbre Island are very special. And they have real sand dunes.
And an aerial photo of the area from Google Maps showing the location and rough viewpoint.
